Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting
held in the Bromsberrow Village Hall
at 7.30pm on Wednesday 31st May 2017

Also Present D Baldwin Clerk to the Council
1. Apologies -: Apologies were received and accepted for Councillors D Hunter and E Wilson.
2 Chairman’s Report
Councillor Doug Morgan presented his report on the activities of the Parish Council during the year 2016-2017 with some of the main points being:
The Co-option of Councillor Yvonne Fortey.
The repainting of the telephone box.
The ongoing issue with Bromsberrow Quarry using the site to store materials not listed on the license.
The shop held a fun day including dog show, which h was well attended although the weather was challenging. The Parish Council manned a stall with information on the legalities of cleaning up after your dog and informing the parish that dog waste bags, provide by the Council, are available free of charge at the village shop.
The sterling work carried out by Councillor Stephens and Hunter on the upkeep of the War Memorial
The cutting back and edging of the grass area in at the Dyke House Lane layby to stop the erosion caused by Lorries turning. An excellent job by AMEY Gloucestershire.
3 District and County Councillors
Neither the County nor District Councillors were available to address the meeting.
4 Estimates of Income and Expenditure for 2017-2018
In the absence of the Responsible Financial Officer the Clerk presented the budget for 2016-2017 as agreed at the meeting on the 17th January 2017. The precept was set at £6100 showing an increase from the previous year of 5.1%.
